About Us
We know how hard it is to find a rental home that meets your needs and expectations. We have been there ourselves, facing the challenges of renting as a young couple and later as parents of two kids. We were tired of moving from one place to another, dealing with unreliable landlords and property managers, and paying high rents for low-quality properties. That's why we've taken matters into our own hands to start our own business as a licensed shared accommodation (rooming house) provider. We love providing rooms for individuals and couples, whether they need a short-term or long-term stay. We enjoy making our guests feel welcome and comfortable in our properties. Our goal is to provide safe, warm, welcoming, and comfortable rooms to our housemates. We are professional, responsive, and helpful. We are Ally Living, your friendly and reliable rental partner.

- Convenience: Our rentals all come furnished, with bills and utilities fully inclusive in the monthly rent. This means you don’t need to worry about buying furniture or arranging electricity and water bills.
- Trusted: All our rooming houses are registered with their respective local councils and fully licensed with Consumer Affair Victoria (CAV) and Business License Authority (BLA).
A rooming house is a building where one or more rooms are available for occupancy by four or more people (in return for the payment of rent). (Consumer Affairs Victoria, 2021)
No, rooms come fully furnished. You’d only need to bring your suitcase and technologies, and you can start to enjoy your stay.
Bills and utilities are fully inclusive, including consumables.
Rent is calculated by the following formula: (Weekly Rent x 52 Weeks) ÷ 26 fortnights. Our rental is payable on a fortnightly basis.
The Residential Tenancies Bond Authority (RTBA) holds all Victorian residential tenancy bonds in trust; these include those for rented premises, long-term caravans, rooming houses, and caravan sites under site agreements. (Consumer Affairs Victoria, 2021) All Ally Living properties require a bond payment of one (1) month for rentals.
Yes, as well as living policies. There are different rules when someone rents a room in a rooming house compared to other types of properties. These rules cover things like how rental agreements work and how many people can share a room. (Consumer Affairs Victoria, 2021)
If you would like to reserve a room in advance, we will require a deposit to be paid depending on when you would like to reserve this room.
In most rooming houses, residents share communal bathrooms, kitchens, laundries, and other common areas.
We have regular inspections for all our properties. If you would like to inspect a property, contact us for the first interview and then a private inspection can be arranged.
Safety and security are high priorities at Ally Living. All properties are fully secured with every room equipped with wired smoke alarms and bedroom locks, secure entrance locks, and CCTV security cameras in common areas (not in bedrooms).
